What we collect.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address and message so we can reply. With either, we also record the page you were on and your approximate country (from your connection, not your precise location). We do not ask for any other personal information.

Analytics.

We count visits ourselves, without cookies, to understand which pages are useful and how people find the Site. When you open a page, your browser tells our server which page it is and which site linked you here, if any. Our server adds whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer and your approximate country (from your connection), and then only adds one to that day’s totals, for example “the Store was viewed 40 times today”. When you follow a link to a retailer, we count that click the same way. We do not store your IP address, set a cookie, save anything on your device or give you an identifier, and the totals cannot be linked back to you.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, the privacy-focused statistics service of our hosting provider, Cloudflare. It likewise uses no cookies or local storage and does not track individual visitors. It records page views, the page address, the site that linked you here, your approximate country, your browser, operating system and type of device, and how quickly pages load.

How we use it.

Newsletter email addresses are used only to send newsletter updates. Contact form details are used only to answer your message. We do not sell your personal information.

Where it’s stored.

Sign-ups and messages are stored securely with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. If we use an email service to send the newsletter, your address is shared with that service for that purpose only.

Cookies.

The Site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary cookies that protect the Site from abuse. Third-party affiliate links may set their own cookies when you visit a retailer. See those merchants’ policies.

Affiliate disclosure.

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you purchase through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
